| Education Pickens County,
SC Pickens County knew exactly what they wanted to do: replace all their wooden steps, decks, and ramps with modular aluminum systems over a five-year period. What they weren't counting on was our commitment to do the right thing every time and treat folks right. This is how our mission was accomplished in Pickens County this year: Consulting before ordering. Before we let Pickens County officials order a single unit, we spent two days consulting with their operations managers to evaluate where we could save Pickens County money. The $1,200 investment Pickens County made in our two-day consult saved them enough money in year one to accomplish over 1/3 of their five-year plan. The photos to the right showing common decking was a big cost savings for the County. Training while installing. Training of existing staff was also a huge plus for Pickens County. Two of their staff members played an integral part in installation this summer, saving the county installation money this year. Next summer, Pickens County staff members will be prepared to do their own installation. Local strategic partnering. In addition to training Pickens staff members, a local general contracting company that does a lot of work for the County, was also brought in for training sessions with our product. Next year, even if the work load is too great for staff members to do the work, Pickens County will have plenty of options to get the work done in the most cost-efficient manner.
